We were both East-Coast kids and are West-Coast adults. The four kids we have between the two of us are all within 5 years of each other; during Covid, we had a very full home with all six of us, and now all four of our young adults have flown the nest.
As our Davis friends know, we lived in LA from mid-2021 to spring 2022, for Meg's work. About the same time we returned to Davis, Sandy sold the San Diego-based business he'd been running, and we're taking advantage of this break in work for both of us (plus the empty nest!) to do some things that haven't been possible till now, with a degree of "nothing is promised" urgency In the aftermath of the pandemic.
We won't try to make this blog either profound or transformational. It's just where we'll add photos and notes about our adventures (which we call "Things"). It's a little less in-your-face than social media, which is part of its appeal to us.
Our more extended sailing is also trackable on a sailing-specific social media site called No Foreign Land. Our boat's location and recent travels can be seen at www.noforeignland.com/boat/kennebec
Thanks for showing up, and for your interest - which we hope to continue to earn!
